I have a question about corrections to an order I've already placed? - Due to the personalized nature of our items, all sales are final once they are shipped. Upon completion of your order you will receive a receipt with all of your order details emailed to you. Please review your order details carefully and confirm they are correct. If something is not correct, you must contact us to let us know before we ship your products. Please contact us or call us at 803-485-1544 immediately. There is no cost to make corrections prior to production of your items.  When you contact us please be prepared to provide us with you First and Last Name, the date you placed your order and your order number.  Return to Top of Page

I have a question about cancellations? - Any order may be modified or cancelled if you do so prior to us shipping your products.  Due to the personalized nature of our items, all sales are final once they are shipped. I have a question about replacement policies? - If there are any damages upon receipt of your order please let us know.  You will receive an identical replacement at no additional cost.  You must notify us within 48 hours of receiving your order to receive a replacement.  Replacement orders will be shipped using the same information as the original order. No Changes or Substitutions will be allowed.  Please contact us or call us at 803-485-1544 immediately. We will promptly assist you. We will not send a replacement from a different collection, with a different name or with a different label than what was requested on the original order. Only an identical replacement of the damaged item from your original order will be replaced.  Replacements will be sent to the original shipping address.  All replacements are shipped via First Class mail regardless of the shipping method for the original order.  Return to Top of Page

Do you have a catalog? - Currently we do not have a  printed catalog of our products.  Since our product line changes frequently we've found most customers prefer the real-time aspect of ordering online, listening to music samples, etc.  Also, many of our products require some interactive checking to make sure the products that are ordered can be produced as desired by the customer.  These interactive checks can not be done on orders that are mailed in.  Return to Top of Page

What forms of payment do you accept? - We currently accept American Express, Discover, Visa and MasterCard credit cards. All orders are processed in real-time through our secure server. All data is encrypted and then sent to our credit card processing company. We also accept payments through Pay-Pal.  Return to Top of Page

I'd like to use a check or a credit card that you don't accept. How can I still place an order? - The best way to order using a check is to sign up for a free Pay-Pal account.  When you sign up, you connect your Pay-Pal account to your checking account.  Then, when ever you want to buy something at Kid Music, or many other on-line stores, you just use your Pay-Pal account when completing your order.  The money you spend is transferred from your checking account to Pay-Pal.  Pay-Pal then transfers the same amount of money to our Pay-Pal account.  We never have access to your personal checking account information so your personal information remains secure.  You can also set up your Pay-Pal account to use a great many different types of credit cards instead of your checking account.  If you would like to sign up for a Pay-Pal account click on the following link: PayPal.  After you complete your registration with Pay-Pal, return to Kid Music to complete your order.  Select the Pay-Pal option during checkout.  Return to Top of Page

How is it that the music sounds so great but that we can't get any name done for all of the music collections? - The process of adding names involves getting the studio singers together to sing each song for each of the names we want to add. Unlike other companies, the names are not dubbed in, they are sung completely for each child. Then the recordings have to be digitally mastered and converted to a file that can be used by our computers. The names are then integrated into our delivery system software so when someone orders that name, we can then produce it onto a CD very quickly. Unfortunately, since this is such a lengthy process, there are only certain collections of music we can do custom names. I purchased the emailed copy of the lyrics but I didn't receive them yet? - We send the emailed copy of the lyrics the same day we ship out your Personalized Music CDs.  Since the lyrics are sent as an attached PDF file please check your email to see if it may have been caught in your spam filters.  If it is not there, please contact us or call us at 803-485-1544 and we will be glad to assist you.   Return to Top of Page

I purchased the emailed copy of the lyrics but I couldn't open the file I was sent? - There have been a few times when customers have said this to us.  In the past we've found there hasn't been anything wrong with the file.  Depending on the browser you are using and how it is configured it may not let you open the file directly.  The best way to work around it, is to save the file to your hard drive and then open it from there.  First thing to check it to make sure you have Adobe Reader on your system.  The file is in a PDF format and requires Adobe Reader to open it.  If you don't have Adobe Reader then you will need to download the free reader using this link: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html.  Then all you need to do is go to the file that was attached to the original message and save it to your hard drive.  Make sure you save it to a directory that you know and can easily find again like C:\MyDocuments.  After you've saved the file to your hard drive, then use MS Explorer to go to the directory you saved it too.  Double click on the file that is saved on your hard drive.  It should open and you can print it out from the Adobe Reader program.  If that doesn't solve the problem please contact us or call us at 803-485-1544 and we will be glad to assist you.  Return to Top of Page

I received my CD and it doesn't seem to play correctly. What should I do? - First, let me ask you a few quick questions:
   •  Can you see any scratches on the back of the CD?
   •  Does is seem to skip in exactly the same spot each time you try and play it?
   •  Does it seem to jump around, maybe even from song to song?
   •  Have you tried the CD in any other players?
The reason for these questions is we've found that some of our customers CD players are not very compatible with the newer generation of computer generated audio CDs.  It's kind of rare but it does happen occasionally.  Often, when the CD is played in another player it sounds fine but in that particular player it doesn't.  If that is the case, sending a replacement CD probably will not solve the problem. 
Since we test every CD before it is shipped, 99% of the time when this type of problem occurs it seems to play fine in another player.  If however it skips in the same place on different players then it is probably a small scratch, even if you can't see it.  In this case a replacement CD should solve the problem.  If that's the case we can send you out a replacement.  Please contact us or call us at 803-485-1544 and we will be glad to assist you.  Return to Top of Page

I wanted to know how the CD is personalized? - The CD label will include your child's name and personalized message as you've entered it on the order form.  The pronunciation field is used to make sure we get the right pronunciation of your child's name regardless of how you spell your child's name.  The pronunciation field will not show up on the label.  The personalization text on the CD label will be  in all capital letters regardless of how it is entered in the order form.  The order form will limit the number of characters you can put on each line.  This is done so we can be sure to fit all of the personalized message on the face of the CD label.  Return to Top of Page

Can I get any name I want? - Some of our personalized products, like the Personalized Music CDs, are limited by the available names we've already recorded.  These products will require you to use the Names Wizard to determine name availability.  However, all of our other Personalized Products are produced in a much different way can be ordered in any name you choose.  These products will allow you to type any name into the name field and will not limit you like the Personalized Music CD products do.  Return to Top of Page

Do other products ship at the same time as the music CDs? - Some of our products ship alone and do not ship with the Personalized Music CDs.  These products are identified on the items description page.  These products require longer to produce and ship than other items we sell.  We will ship each item as soon as is possible.  Some of these items may have their own shipping and handling costs associated with them and those costs are disclosed on that items page.  Return to Top of Page

I wanted to know how the other products are personalized? - The products, other than the Music CDs, each have their own amount of personalization.  Some products allow only first names, others allow both first and last names and still others may allow you to have what ever you like up to a certain number of characters.  Since these products each have their own set of rules you will be able to see more information about them on their respective product pages.  If it can be personalized, then there will be  a field where you can enter the information.  If a field, like the Personalized Message on our Music CDs, is absent from the item's personalized information, then that item can not be personalized in that way.  Return to Top of Page
